[Introduction to Chung-shan Warship ]
Chung-shan Warship (original named Yung-feng Warship),which is a kind of naval vessel made of steel-wooden materials,was purchased by Ching government from Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Plant in 1910,Auguet.It completed to launch in 1913,June and initially sailed to Shanghei in 1914, January, in addition,was marshaled in [ First Naval Force ] to execute the mission.In 1922,Jun Founding Father Dr.Sun,Yat-sen met with danger for Chen,Chiung-ming's rebellion and took the warship to direct the war for 50 days long.
After Dr.Sun's demise,Yung-feng Warship was renamed [ Chung-shan Warship ]for commemorating Dr.Sun's great career.In 1938,Chung-shan Warship was unfortunately bombed and sunken into the river around Gin-Kou territory of Wuhan city.In 2001,Hubei authority government repaired the warship fully and kept in the [ Chung-shan Warship Museum } for the public to salute.
The whole length of warship is 62.48 meters and the width is 8.99 meters; the draft of the warship is 3 meters and the displacement is 780 tons,moreover,the speed is 16 sea miles.There are 8 cannons with different specifications and 108 offiers and staff disposed.
